Payments processed through Fixxa typically arrive in your bank account within 2 business days. If you need your money the same day, instant payouts are available at a 1% fee (minimum 30p). This is a standard payment processing charge applied at your request and is completely optional. Fixxa does not charge any additional fees for this service.

Under UK payment regulations, adding card processing or platform fees as a separate line item on consumer invoices is not permitted. We recommend factoring any payment processing costs into your overall job pricing from the outset. For example, if your job costs £1,500 and you wish to account for processing fees, simply incorporate this into your quoted price rather than adding it as a separate charge. Fixxa provides transparent fee information within the app to help you price your jobs accurately. Please note this guidance applies to consumer transactions, different rules may apply to business-to-business invoicing.

When a customer pays through Fixxa, the total fee depends on the payment method. Standard UK cards: 2.5% + 20p per transaction (Stripe 1.5% + 20p plus Fixxa 1%). Premium UK cards (rewards, business, corporate): 2.9% + 20p per transaction (Stripe 1.9% + 20p plus Fixxa 1%). Buy Now, Pay Later via Klarna: 5.99% + 35p per transaction. Example: on a £1,000 invoice paid by a standard UK card, the total fee is £25.20, meaning £974.80 lands in your account. On a premium UK card it is £29.20, meaning £970.80. Paid via Klarna BNPL it is £60.25, meaning £939.75 lands in your account. If you absorb the processing fee rather than factoring it into your job price, this is generally tax deductible as a business expense. We recommend confirming with your accountant.

Yes. You can enable VAT, set your default rate, and choose per-line or per-invoice VAT where applicable. If you are not VAT-registered, you can keep VAT off.

Yes. We use bank-level encryption in transit and at rest. Access is protected and logged, and we follow least-privilege principles.
