How to sign up for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

In short: You sign up for MTD for Income Tax on GOV.UK using your Government Gateway user ID, or your accountant can sign you up as your agent. Before you do, choose compatible software and make sure your Self Assessment is up to date. HMRC does not enrol you automatically.
